…..some days just feel like this.
Yes I’ve been away for awhile, but I had a very good reason as you can see.
Is there anything better than chubby little baby feet? I don’t think so, especially not when they are attached to our first, absolutely perfect, grandchild. If I could bottle and sell the feeling I have when I hold him, I would be rich a million times over and then some. Indescribably delicious!
I will be back at my regular routine tomorrow (right now I have tons of baby pictures to gaze at!) but I’m sure many of you will agree that I had a very good reason for being away for a much too short time, in my opinion.
“Sure, I think that when you are typing is the time to play with your hands, I smudge your window (okay, all of your windows), I have to smell EVERYTHING including the inside of your purse, I think the best time to lay on your feet is when you are getting ready to get up, I lay on my bed and moan until you pick up my toy that fell on the floor, I insist on being part of conversations and talking when it isn’t my turn (at least I’m not barking), and I’m sure you’ll tell me that I do a million other quirky things but have I EVER made you wear stupid headgear? I think not.”
Doesn’t he look like he just stepped out of an old Little Rascals movie? Not typically this patient (or this happy to be wearing duds) that smile you see is for the bag of doggie cookies being seductively dangled by the camera lens. That smile is joyful anticipation.
I guess after the last blog entry it comes as no surprise that there is a new furry member of the family. As you can see above, Jax is quite pleased with that fact! He has quite a
stubborn determined personality. We’ve told Colin that he was much like Jax as a toddler but thankfully for all concerned he did not have razor sharp puppy teeth. Our household barely survived his toddler years as it was! Luckily he was a cuddly and lovable little tyrant as well and the newest member appears to be following in his footsteps.
My work has nearly (but not all!) come to a screeching halt as I zoom around the house protecting rugs, furniture, and saving Jax from himself. It is a lot of work keeping a puppy and a household safe at the same time. I am also in the midst of training said teething hurricane so he doesn’t carry unlovable behaviors forward into adulthood like eating the sofa cushions. I am managing to carve out a (very) little ‘me time’. Hang in there with me though! I’ve been taking lots of pictures, and sketching out new ideas when Jax is snoozing and will introduce them as time allows. In the meantime if you want to see more of Jax, check out his gallery page! The link is at the top of the page.
Have a Happy Monday! Enjoy your freedom, remember you could be lassoed to a chunky little whirlwind all day.
